About
Empowering life-long activists
At VGen, we believe that young people are powerful change agents. Young people are passionate, influential and creative. We want to give you the skills you need to create real change. You’ll have opportunities to be trained by World Vision’s experts, increase your knowledge of development and social injustice and poverty issues and develop your campaigning, leadership, organisational and professional skills, all while connecting with the largest aid and development organisation in Australia – World Vision Australia.
Being involved in VGen will help give you the skills you need to be a life-long activist – whatever career you choose. Past-VGenners have gone on to use their experiences and skills learned in VGen, directly in the aid and development field in AYAD and AVI roles, in roles at World Vision and other NGOs. We’ve also had Vision Generation members go on to use the skills they learned in Vision Generation in fields outside of aid and development – we love to hear of people in all different careers, using their own talents to create change for the world’s poor.
Be inspired by other youth activists
Being involved in VGen gives you the opportunity to meet, connect with and be inspired by young activists all across the country. There are Vision Groups all across Australia who you can connect with, be creative with, and be inspired by.
There are also incredible and brave youth activists in World Vision programs all around the world – we want to share their stories with you – trust us, you’ll be so inspired hearing about how young leaders are mobilising their communities and helping to end poverty in some of the most restrictive contexts and poor countries in the world.
Will you be a part of a national and international community of young people, fighting to end social injustice and global poverty?
